Parents File Lawsuit

Parents from the New Hope Academy Charter School in York filed a federal lawsuit against the York City school district and various board members.  The complain alleges that the district and board members made up their minds about not renewing the school’s charter before starting the process of non-renewal hearings.  The parents claim the district and the school board members “cherry picked” negative statistics to support their case that New Hope was not meeting the needs of children or the community.
