The United Methodist Home for Children cares for abused and neglected children in Central Pennsylvania. They kicked off Christmas a little early with a party hosted by Target. All of the usual suspects including Christmas Trees, food, and presents were at the celebration. But this party was something special for the attendees.
“A lot of them haven`t had a normal Christmas that people like us take for granted so they really appreciate everything that is given to them and is done for them , “ says Emily Kunkel, United Methodist Home for Children
The United Methodist Home for Children provides a safe place for children. Teaching them life skills they otherwise wouldn’t learn at home, and giving them a Christmas they wouldn’t otherwise receive.
“ The fact that people want to come and celebrate some type of celebration means that someone cares about me, “ says Aubriana Parisi, resident at United Methodist Home for Children
The organization has been helping children in the area for over 90 years.
