If you got it– flaunt it, right?  That’s how the saying goes, but apparently it doesn’t hold true for a new mom posting selfies on Instagram.

Caroline is the wife of Norwegian soccer star Lars Kristian Eriksen. She posted this picture just three days after giving birth, and now she’s under international scrutiny for setting an unhealthy precedent for new moms.

She defends herself by saying, “People kept telling me that my body would never be the same… and i wanted to show everyone that’s not entirely true.”

Caroline Kristian Eriksen reportedly worked out 5 to 6 times a week until well into her second trimester. She says she’s proud of herself,  and thinks all moms should be proud of themselves regardless of how they look after labor.

Do you find this picture offensive?

No, I do not find the picture offensive. It is vindicating.

How is this an unhealthy precedent? So, far, it sounds like a healthy precedent.

Offensive, no way. Granted everybody is different and no woman will have the same experience through pregnancy (ie: weight gain, etc.) but I think the problem is women are blasting her because too many women use pregnancy as an excuse to let themselves go. This woman is an example that letting yourself go is just that an excuse.
