The Gettysburg Fire Department in Adams County held its annual “Stuff the Truck” event. Department volunteers, along with Santa himself, collected donations throughout the weekend. Last year, they helped brighten Christmas for 30 families. They hope to help more this year, despite Saturday’s bad weather.
Santa said, “It hasn’t stopped us and it probably wouldn’t stop us because this is something we do every year whether it’s cold, windy, rainy or whatever.”
The Gettysburg Fire Department will be collecting donations until Wednesday, Dec. 18th.
If you would like to donate, you take canned and non-perishable goods to the Gettysburg Fire Department at 35 N. Stratton Street in Gettysburg.
