First of all the dog tore a hole in my hand and was being vicious, secondly I was not drinking. Not one drop. Third the pistol was legally mine and I acted in accordance with the law for self defense. Better the dog than the dog maul my son. Who was sleeping upstairs in his room just fine. He never left my care for a minute. Im a Marine veteran with two tours – get your facts straight

Hey, he has proof the dog bit him. You quit denying that Phil is a good father. Yeah there might have been a better way to handle it but what this article seems to forgot is what type of breed the dog was. That usually gets everyone’s attention real quick, I spoke with Phil the day before the incident.. And even before, never have I heard nor seen him drink to get drunk around Luke. Like he said, get your facts straight before you judge.

Should you be speaking the truth please answer us this…… Why would you discharge a weapon in a house that your SON was IN???? And why were you in your car driving anywhere? Even if it was just in the parking lot, that is too far to hear him should he wake up crying. Lastly, if you are a veteran of the US military, please do not use that as an excuse to explain bad behavior. There are lots of programs/ therapy that you can get involved with to help you with any issues that you are suffering from.

What was he doing to the dog before the dog may have felt the need to defend itself? Apparently the police are not able to identify a drunk individual. And driving erratically in the parking lot…..I'm sure the local residents were also lying. So you're a Marine with two tours…no one seems to be arguing that point…what is your point??? You seem to be a troubled individual, making bad decisions and don't need to be 'responsible' for a child. People like you never take responsibility for your actions….it's always someone else's fault or they're lying. Two words of advice for you…GROW UP!!!!!

Lmfao breed of dog has nothing to do with it…….. it is the owners fault for how he/she trains the dog no matter what the breed is and also what was he doing to the dog secondly. Judging from previous comments Phil may have been under the influence of alcohol… so a drunks word is false… may haps the memory of what actually occured cannot be recalled because of the drunken stooper….?

What has this world come to that a supposed father would even think to do such a thing. Was this not a service dog…a dog has the right to defend itself. Unfortunately, under your care the poor dog is probably better off dead. Then to leave a baby alone in your apartment while you are driving eratically driving in the parking lot…what kind of excuse can you come up with for that one?? My guess is you have a troubled background and have never had to take any responsibility for it. The BEST gift you can give that little boy is keep the hell out of his life. You sound like a train wreck and I am sure this is only one of many derailments to come. Don’t mention being in the armed forces…they don’t deserve such negative attention.

There's probably a lot more to this story than is being talked about or written. Veteran huh? Two tours huh? Ok, so all of that stuff about gun safety that you were taught and you choose to discharge your weapon in the same house with your kid…..not very bright. Maybe that's the reason you're not in the military anymore. Where's the wife in all of this? My guess is she saw the writing on the wall and left you to continue on your path of self-destruction. I hope you get the full extent of what the legal system has to offer and that they tell you to come nowhere near your kid anytime soon!

I hope the management of Greentree Village gets rid of this guy! He's certainly a danger to his family and others. Who knows where that bullet would have gone if it hadn't killed the dog! Not the kind of neighbor any of us wants! If you live here like I do, I hope you get in touch with the management and let's get this jerk out of here now! No need to wait on the courts to do their thing….he's clearly violated his lease by discharging a gun!

  • Charles Jones

Looks like Greentree won the case against Soliz according to court records online! We're one step closer to getting this scumbag out of our complex!

  • Charles Jones

More lies by Mr. Soliz right above this comment. Court case was continued according to the Lebanon County court docket. Hearing is set for Feb 27. Hope he gets the full extent of what the law allows!

  • Bertha

Charles is correct. Hearing has been continued. I wonder what happened to his military integrity…or if he even had any. Sure is not what his son needs as a role model!
