A Cumberland County man is accused of stealing merchandise from two different Kohl’s department stores three times in two days.  Silver Spring Township Police say that last Friday, December 20, Christopher Heustess, 23, of Mechanicsburg accompanied by a friend went to the Kohl’s in the 6400 block of Carlisle Pike.  The two men selected merchandise from a display. Heustess then took the items to the service counter where he fraudulently returned the items in exchange for store credit.

Shortly before 9 pm on the same day, Heustess and the unknown man came back to Kohl’s.  Again merchandise was removed from a display and fraudulently returned for store credit.

During the course of their investigation police learned that on Saturday, December 21 both men had committed similar acts at the Kohl’s store in the 200 block of Westminster Drive in South Middleton Township. The case was being investigated by Pennsylvania State Police.

Heustess was taken into custody on Saturday without incident in Mechanicsburg Borough by Silver Spring Township Police, State Police and Mechanicsburg Police.  He faces multiple charges of Theft by Deception and Criminal Conspiracy by Township and State Police.
