Woman robbed at Mechanicsburg laundromat

Police are looking for a man with a knife accused of stealing change from a woman at a Mechanicsburg laundromat on Monday night. It happened just before 9 p.m. at the Scottee Coin Laundry located along the 600 block of East Simpson Street.

According to police reports, the suspect approached the woman while she was doing laundry and demanded money. He then  picked up her change purse and walked away, but not before being confronted by the victim. When the woman demanded her money back, the man opened his jacket and revealed a handle of a knife.

Police say the man left in a large white vehicle.

The suspect is described as being a white, male, in his 30s, approximately 5’8″ – 5’10″ tall. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, a white shirt and blue jeans.
