A Mechanicsburg man is in prison after police say he assaulted someone, violating a restraining order and putting his victim in the hospital. Upper Allen Police were called to a home on the 1700 block of Fisher Road this morning for a domestic dispute. Officers found the victim laying outside the residence and inside was John-Michael Dillon, 26, of Mechanicsburg. The victim had been physically assaulted by Dillon and was taken to the hospital for treatment. In addition to the assault, police say Dillon was in violation of an existing Protection from Abuse Order and police found drug paraphernalia in the house. Dillon was arrested at the scene and taken to Cumberland County Prison for processing and arraignment on charges of Indirect Criminal Contempt (PFA Violation), Simple Assault, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Harassment.

A preliminary hearing will be scheduled at a later date.
