The first day of the 98th Pennsylvania Farm Show was as packed and popular as ever.

We visited North Hall, where some of the show’s 6,000 animals spent the day.

The Farm Show has more animal competitions this year, with more cattle and sheep breeds getting the spotlight.

Today featured the Pennsylvania High School Rodeo Association Championship Rodeo and Poultry “Best in Show.” The complex was crowded and full of excitement.

“It’s been pretty busy, it’s actually kind of nice being inside the pen seeing the crowd outside,” says Randy Holmes of Cotacachi Alpaca Farm in Butler. “But it has been very busy, so we’re really happy with the turnout.”
