The Pennsylvania Department of Health is teaming up with the State Farm Show to offer attendees the flu vaccine, for free.
Anyone who goes to the Farm Show can get the shot. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
You don’t even need to make an appointment.
“It’s very important that we protect our population and get flu shots; it’s the easiest way to protect yourself is to get the flu vaccine and that’s why we promote it at the Department of Health every year at the Farm Show,” says Patti Matlock, R.N.
Aside from the vaccine, the Department of Health is also be providing hands only CPR at its booth at the Main Hall near the Carousel in the Maclay Street lobby.
The agency also has information on many health topics, including organ donation and women’s wellness.
The Farm Show runs through Saturday, January 11th.
