Record-breaking or not, Monday night and Tuesday’s cold weather is still dangerous.

Chambersburg residents who don’t have sufficient heat are encouraged to visit the newly established warming center for the borough.

The Borough of Chambersburg will be operating a warming center from 3 p.m. Monday to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eugene C. Clarke Jr. Community Center, 235 S. Third St.

The center is heated and coffee or hot chocolate will be available.

The center is open to senior citizens and others at risk for cold-related illnesses.
