A Lancaster County man faces multiple charges involving the rape of a young woman. Shannon Lee Van Volkenburg, 39, is accused of raping a 20 year old New Holland woman numerous times between June 2011 and November 2013. The assaults allegedly occurred at Van Volkenburg’s East Cocalico Township home.
Charges against Van Volkenburg include Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Incest, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Sexual Assault and Indecent Assault. Following arraignment, Van Volkenburg was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
