The Pennsylvania State Education Association says students need “solutions that work” in their classrooms.

That’s the name of a new report released by the agency on Thursday, detailing initiatives that it says are proven to help students learn.

Among some of the findings, the group says parents and the community should have a greater role in children’s learning.

Officials are also stressing the importance of extracurricular activities and special course, like art and music classes, as ways of promoting academic growth.
