The task force investigating the I-81 Road Rage Killer in Pennsylvania says their case is not related to the killing of a Kentucky Police officer last May.

Timothy Davison was shot and killed on January 4, 2014. Davison, 28, of Poland, Maine, was heading home after visiting family in Florida when he was shot and killed during an apparent road rage incident near Exit 3 in Antrim Township, Franklin County.

A task force comprised of elements of the Pennsylvania State Police, Maryland State Police, Carroll Township Police Department and the FBI are investigating Davison’s murder and a very similar cases which occurred
eight hours earlier in Carroll Township, York County. in that incident, the shooter tailgated the victim reclessly before pulling alongside the victim and opening fire, striking the victim’s vehicle several times.

There was speculation that the killing of Officer Jason Ellis, 33, of Bardstown, Kentucky, last year, may have been related to the Pennsylvania shootings.  But the task force said definitively that the cases are not related in a press conference in Chambersburg this morning.
