A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area, beginning at 12 P.M. and lasting through 7 P.M.

A Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service in State College, P.A. remains in effect across the region.  It begins at noon and lasts through 7 P.M. this evening.  Warming temperatures today will lead to ice melting and break up on the waterways.  This, in combination with heavy rainfall forecasted this afternoon, could lead to potential ice jams and flooding.  Rainfall amounts between 0.5″ and 1″ are expected across the region.  Scattered showers this morning and drizzly conditions become a more widespread rainfall late this morning as a cold front approaches.  Rain begins from west to east between the hours of 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.  It ends between 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. from west to east.  Stay with WPMT Fox43 for more details and updates as they become available.
