Officer involved in a deadly shooting in Susquehanna Township

State Police, along with the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office, are investigating the death of a white male on Second Street in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County.

According to the D.A, police were involved in a short car chase this afternoon after police say the car was stolen and the driver was involved in criminal activity earlier in the day.

The car was cornered and shots were fired by both the driver and police.

Police are currently interviewing witnesses and the entire incident is under investigation.

Police are also investigating whether the suspect’s fatal wounds were self-inflicted.

The District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the use of deadly force by police officers to determine if such force was necessary.

The name of the suspect is not being released pending family notification.
