It takes two weeks to set up for the Farm Show, and just two days to break it all down.

Crews are cleaning out the expo center through Monday. They’re preparing for the horse sale this week, and the Auto Show that will open on January 23rd.

“All these rooms will get hosed down, cleaned up, scrubbed up so that it smells pretty and fresh for cars,” says Wayne Myers, building maintenance manager.

And goodbye to the hay; the complex will be carpeted for the Auto Show.

As for the family in the butter sculpture, they’re out too.

“What happens is it’ll be broken apart, and what they’ll do with it is they’ll melt it down with torches and heat it,” says Myers. “And then they’ll recycle it and burn it in a car or an automobile or a tractor.”
