Harrisburg police say the first homicide of the year happened shortly after 10p.m. Saturday night.
Police say the shooting took place along the 1st block of N. 16th Street.
A male victim was found with gunshot wounds to the back.
The victim was transported to Harrisburg Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say no arrests have been made and they do not have any suspects at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
