Electrician killed in industrial accident

A Gardeners man was killed in a workplace accident this morning in Windsor Township, York County. Benedict Todt, 55, was installing an electrical switch gear box at the Red Lion Water Authority Pumping facility located at 500 Gebhart Road in Windsor Township, around 11am when the box fell, trapping Todt beneath it. The box was about 7 feet by 4 feet in size and weighed over 2,000 pounds. It was not connected to electricity when the accident happened.

Todt was an electrician for Lobar Inc. of Dillsburg.
