PennDOT, Turnpike issue speed restrictions

The following highway speed restrictions have been imposed by Penn DOT and the Turnpike.


There are no vehicle restrictions at this time.

The following ICC’s are activated, 4-0,5-0,6-0,8-0,9-0, and 12-0.

Speed Limit restrictions of 45 mph are in place for the following roads.

District 3: I-80

District 4: I-80

District 5: I-78, US 33, US 22, I-80, I-81, I-176, PA 309, I-380, US 422

District 6: US 1, PA 63, I-76, I-95, PA 309, US 422, I-476, I-676, PA 30, US 202, Rt. 100 spur

District 8: US 15, US 22, US 30, US 322, I-78, I-81, I-83, PA 283, PA 581

Pennsylvania Turnpike

Speed Limit restrictions of 45 mph are in place system wide. Level 2 condition is in place on the turnpike from Somerset Eastbound to the New Jersey line and on Route 476 north to Scranton. All abandoned vehicles are being cleared from the roadways and snow removal as necessary.
