The storm continues to pull away tonight, ending the snow in our western counties but lingering it a tad longer to the east. Snow will continue to accumulate in York and Lancaster boosting amounts in some spots to near 10”. Snow is expected to end around 10pm.
TONIGHT: Next concern this evening will be the temperatures. Air temperatures will plummet to the single digits and with breezy winds 10 to 20 mph along with higher gusts, this will create wind chills as low as -15 degrees. The winds will also contribute to blowing and drifting snow. Skies will clear and temperatures will drop to the low single digits.
TOMORROW: We’ll start out with sunshine but the clouds fill in by afternoon. It will be a brutally cold day. Winds will continue breezy and with temps only reaching the mid teens, they will feel more like single digits to below zero. Clouds return late in the day towards evening as the next clipper swings in bringing a chance for light snow flurries and light snow showers overnight into Thursday morning.
THURSDAY: Light snow is possible in the morning during the morning commute but should be gone by lunch time leaving partly to mostly cloudy skies and temps continuing below well average. Lows will be in the single digits with highs only around 20°.
FRIDAY: Sunshine to end the week but it doesn’t do much to warm us as temperatures remain in the single digits for morning lows and afternoon highs do not get out of the teens.
WEEKEND: We warm up a bit to the 30s by Saturday but yet another clipper will bring clouds and light snow. We get a break Sunday as it looks dry and temperatures a bit colder. However we’ll start the week with the train of clippers as the next one drops in bringing light snow showers for Monday and it will usher even more arctic for Tuesday!
