Artspace, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit, along with local politicians hosted a community event Wednesday night at York’s Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center.
There were exhibits and performances from some of York’s best artists.
People were also able to learn more about Artspace York which is an initiative to develop affordable living and work spaces for local artists.

State Rep. Kevin Schreiber was also in attendance to help officially launch a survey about the potential development saying, “We want to hear from them we want them to take the survey and really tell Artspace if there a market for artist housing and if so how big of a market? And that will give them a better indication if they are going to hopefully going to develop here in York City.”

The survey is free and open to the public: http://www.artspaceyork.org
