Michael Fisher has been selected as the General Manager for Harley-Davidson’s York Vehicle Operations in Springettsbury Township, York County.  Fisher joined Harley-Davidson in 1994 as an hourly production employee at the York County plant.  He has held several manufacturing leadership roles in multiple facilities over the years, including Director of Operations for the York County plant.  Most recently, Fisher was the director of Manufacturing Systems, and was responsible for leading the implementation of the Continuous Improvement System across all Harley-Davidson manufacturing operations.  Fisher’s new role as General Manager is effective February 17.

Michael Fisher replaces general manager Ed Magee who announced his resignation last week.  Magee, who has been overseeing the York County plant since 2009, has accepted a Vice President position with Thomas & Betts in Memphis Tennessee.  His last day at York Vehicle Operations is February 14.
