Starting next month, metered parking in downtown Harrisburg will be in effect until 7 PM Monday through Saturday. Previously you only had to pay until 5PM on weekdays and Saturdays were free.
Business owners say they’re worried that it will drive potential customers away and that it will also create a hardship on their employees. A parking consultant said they hope to work with businesses to make it easier for people to come into the city.
