East Lampeter Township Police arrest two people they say broke into “a large number” of unlocked vehicles in several neighborhoods from the Bridgeport area to the East Towne Mall area. Police were called to the 1800 block of Lincoln Highway East around 1:50am by someone reporting three males acting suspiciously. They arrested apprehended Norman Linwood Alexander, Jr., 23, of Lancaster City and a 17 year old male juvenile from Lancaster City.  A third suspect was not located.

Both suspects were both charged with Theft from a Motor Vehicle, Loitering & Prowling at Night and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Theft from a Motor Vehicle. Alexander was committed to Lancaster County Prison on a probation violation and the juvenile was committed to the Youth Intervention Center on a juvenile detainer.  Police say the suspects entered in excess of 100 vehicles and more charges are expected.  Anyone with information is asked to contact East Lamapeter Twp.
