Cops find 50 to 100 empty bags of heroin at violent domestic dispute in New Holland

A New Holland woman is facing charges after she reportedly beat her mother and then resisted arrest after investigators found 50 to 100 bags of empty heroin packets in her bedroom, police said.

Alexandra Szymanski, 20,  is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.

The discovery was made Friday night when police were called to a home along the 200 block of South Railroad Avenue for a report of a violent domestic dispute.

Szymanski’s mother told police that her daughter smashed her head against the floor and bit her arm. The mother wasn’t seriously hurt, police said.

Officers found numerous syringes and approximately 50 to 100 empty heroin packets on the floor of Szymanski’s bedroom.

According to police reports, three officers had to carry Szymanski to a patrol car while she spit and tried to kick them.
