Dauphin County woman faces bad check charge

A Dauphin County woman is charged with passing bad checks. Kelly Dee Matthews, 36, of Harrisburg, allegedly deposited checks from her Santander Bank account into her Susquehanna Bank account.  She then withdrew money based on the amount of the deposited checks. The checks were eventually returned to Susquehanna Bank for insufficient funds. The checks amounted to $1,249.03. Letters sent to Matthews demanding payment went unanswered. Matthews is charged by Swatara Township Police via summons with Theft by Deception and Bad Checks
