Driver killed after he left disabled truck identified

The truck driver who got out of his cab when his tractor trailer became disabled in the snow yesterday on Route 30 and was struck by a passing vehicle has been identified. Charles Briggs, 63, from Martinsburg West Virginia, later died from his injuries at Chambersburg Hospital. The accident happened around 7:17am Monday on the 6100 block of Chambersburg Road in Franklin Township, Adams County.

The driver of the striking vehicle is cooperating with police.

Incident is still under investigation.
