PPL Electric says it expects to have power restored to 90% of its Lancaster County customers by Friday. More 50,000 PPL customers are without power in the region.
A company in a release says it has 800 field personnel working in the Lancaster area to restore power and hundreds more are on the way. They include PPL personnel from other regions, contract line repair companies and personnel from electric companies in other states who arrived today with more expected Thursday.
The company says restoration work will continue around the clock until all power is restored.
