If you’re getting tired of looking at broken tree branches on roofs, fences and in roads, you can haul it to Spring Valley Mulch and leave it for free.
The business in Conewago Twp., York County recycles the broken limbs and bushes by turning them into mulch and selling it.
“There’s a lot of mess out there,” says Engracio Bohol, who has a tree removal business and leaves the debris there. “It’s the worst I’ve seen in all my years doing this.”
You can also take it to the York County Solid Waste Authority, but it will cost $10 to leave up to 340 pounds of debris.
“It’s seven days a week during daylight hours, it’s pretty much nonstop,” says owner Brian Klinger. There’s already a mountainous pile of debris waiting to be turned into mulch, and he anticipates more will come as the snow melts.
