New Cumberland mother, daughter charged with selling drugs to undercover cop

A mother and her 18-year-old daughter are facing charges after being accused of selling heroin to an undercover officer in Fairview Township, police said. Cindy L. Queen, 41, and her daughter Brianna Mercier, 18, both of New Cumberland, met with a undercover officer Thursday and sold him an unspecified amount of heroin, police said.

The pair were arrested and taken York County Central Booking for arraignment.

Queen is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Mercier was charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for both women on Feb. 18.

Queen is out on bail after posting $5,000, according to online court records. Mercier was released on her own recognizance.
