An unlikely store is seeing a boom in business right now because of the weather- a swimming pool store.
Buchmyer’s Pools stocked up on swimming pool salt for the spring. But since so many stores ran out of rock salt, customers are turning to them.
They still have about 200 bags of salt left at the Arsenal Road store in Springettsbury Township, York County.
“The major merchants ran out of the rock salt, we’ve probably sold about 50 bags of the pool salt,” says manager Scott Sprenkle, “People can use in place of that, will get the ice up off the sidewalks and driveways same as the rock salt does.”
