Dozens of people grabbed shovels and helped dig out the Strasburg Fire Company in Lancaster County. Community volunteers & firefighters braved Saturday’s cold temperatures and winds to help clean off the fire company’s lot on Main Street. The clean up comes just a week before Lancaster County’s big mud sale, which is an annual auction held at a number of local fire stations. “Sometimes we can’t do this stuff without the community and the fire company is the one place that everybody calls when they need help, but when the fire company needs help we call the community and they are always there for us. They are doing a great job, a phenomenal job and we couldn’t do it without them,” says Assistant Chief William Hutchinson. Strasburg’s Spring Consignment and Mud Sale will be held Saturday, February 21st.
