A Middletown man initially arrested for retail theft, is also charged with drug possession. Borough police responded to a call just before Noon today at the Giant Food Store on East Main Street. Santos Santiago Rosario, 42, who lives in the 100 block of South Union street was being detained by store security personnel for allegedly stealing various over the counter medications and personal care products valued at $150.00.

After Rosario was taken to the Dauphin County Judicial Center for processing it was discovered that he had a small amount of suspected heroin in a baggy stamped with alien head markings.

Charges against Rosario include Retail Theft and three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Contraband.
