Students at Min’s Karate in Camp Hill, Cumberland County spent time kicking, hitting and breaking dozens of boards in a Karate Break-A-Thon for Charity on Saturday.
Organizer Krystina Shultz, says the students collected per-board pledges from friends and family, and then broke boards to reach their individual goals.
The money raised is divided evenly between three local charities; Shalom House, United Methodist Home for Children and Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
Saturday’s was the fifth year for the Break-A-Thon event. In the previous four events, a total of $5,580 was raised for charity.
FOX43’s Photojournalist Rebecca Knier caught up with the kids as they showed their strength and their mini-might.
