Organ donors who gave people the gift of life were honored in a ceremony in Harrisburg on Sunday. The Sheraton Hershey-Harrisburg hosted the Gifts of Life, Acts of Love ceremony and luncheon. The event honored living organ donors in the area who have donated a life-saving organ to someone in need. More than 20 pairs of donors and their recipients were joined by their family and friends as well as staff from the region’s hospitals.
Kim Barnett, Director of transplant services at PinnacleHealth says, “Organ donors are probably one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. They are very compassionate about what they do, they are very giving and they are absolutely wonderful, honestly they are.”
