People in Harrisburg got together for the ribbon cutting and the grand opening of a new community center.
The center is called “A Place for Hope” and will provide a safe place for those who struggle with bullying, depression or suicide.
The Center, on Locust Street in Harrisburg, will host public events and educational sessions, and provide a gathering place for people in the community.
The center is part of Foundation for Hope’s mission to reach out to local folks in need.
“The Foundation for Hope offers support to people across Central Pennsylvania, regardless of their walks of life, their age, or their personal situation. We reach out a helping hand to those people, let them know it’s okay not to be okay. There are people who understand what you’re going through and help you get the help that you need,” said Jesse Gantt, Founder & CEO of Foundation for Hope.
Foundation for Hope also offers a help line to provide callers with resource that could change their lives.
