McCaskey senior caught with handgun in classroom

Lancaster City Police arrest a J.P. McCaskey High School senior after he is caught with a handgun in class.  It happened on Thursday. An Assistant Principal received information that a student had brought a gun to school. The information was passed on to School Resource Officer Carlos Luciano.

Officer Luciano assisted by school staff removed the student identified as Darnell Greene, 18, from the classroom without incident. They also seized a Ruger .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun.  The gun was not loaded and Greene was not in possession of any ammunition or magazine for the gun. Green was also found to be in possession of a small amount of Marijuana.

Charges against Greene include Possession of a Weapon on School Property, Firearms not to be Carried Without a License and Possession Small Amount of Marijuana.
