The Brides Against Breast Cancer nationwide tour made a stop in our area on Saturday.
The organization held a charity wedding gown sale & bridal show at the Holiday Inn in Grantville, Dauphin County.
Women from across the area attended the event in hopes of finding a special wedding gown for their big day, at a discounted price.
“Come to our event, we have between 500 and 600 wedding dresses to browse through that have been donated to us by designers, manufacturers, local bridal boutiques as well as former brides, so they have been discounted from anywhere from 25 to 85 percent off,” said Katie Posivak, Show Manager.
“I was shaking really, really bad, but I love it. It’s perfect and I’m happy I found it,” said Nickole Stiffler, a bride-to-be.
Brides Against Breast Cancer’s goal is make sure that people who have been impacted by cancer have the resources and information they need to battle the disease.
It will donate 2-million dollars this year alone to people impacted by cancer.
