Pennsylvania expanded gambling in the last year to allow games of chance in taverns. Monday,  a group in Harrisburg met to discuss the challenges expanding gambling brings.

“ We want to monitor this and make sure we aren’t expanding venues and not keeping up with it should there be problem gaming  involved.  I think the timing is important because of some of the expansion that`s been going on,” says State Rep. Mauree Gingrich ( R ), 101st District

Lawmakers, casino owners, and problem gambling groups gathered at a House Gaming Oversight Committee meeting discuss ways to continue to make help available for those dealing with problem gambling in Pennsylvania.     Working with the  Pennsylvania Council on Compulsive Gambling in PA is just one way the Commonwealth is staying on top of the issue.
