Barletta Bill Passes U.S. House

The U.S. House unanimously passed a bill designed to protect firefighters against criteria required by the Affordable Care Act. Pennsylvania Congressman Lou Barletta introduced the bill a few months ago called the Protecting Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Responders Act. Now, it ensures that emergency service volunteers are not counted as full-time employees.
