Ephrata police arrested a man after he threatened a relative with a shotgun.

Dion J. Friday,18,  is charged with simple assault, receiving stolen property, and person not to possess a firearm.

Police arrived at Friday’s home around 6 p.m. Tuesday, along the 100 block of Tom Avenue, Ephrata Borough. Friday threatened a relative with a loaded shotgun, which police recovered on scene.

Investigators discovered the shot-gun had been stolen in a burglary which occurred in Ephrata back in March of 2013.

Friday is currently at Lancaster County Prison with a $20,000 bail.
