Citing new evidence that has recently surfaced in the Danzel Turane murder case, the York County District Attorney’s Office has withdrawn Homicide charges that were filed against Shane Brown.
18 year old Danzel Turane was killed in an early morning shooting in 2012 along the 100 block of West Jackson in the city. Two juveniles were also wounded in the shooting. Brown, who was 16 years old at the time, was arrested and charged in the shooting.
The DA’s office released a statement said that new information in the case was developed through a continuing investigation of the Turane murder case.
The statement went on to say that the new evidence has been integrated into the previously existing evidence. It said that a just result is the goal in all cases.
