One dead, two hurt in East Lampeter Township crash

Multiple Car Crash in East Lampeter Township

A 71-year-old woman is dead following a crash Thursday night between two vehicles in Lancaster County. The crash was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. along the 1800 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in East Lampeter Township.

According to police reports, a vehicle driven by a 40 year-old Reinholds woman was headed east when the vehicle hit a curb and veered into the westbound lane into the path of a 1978 Chevrolet Caprice.

The driver of the Caprice, identified as 71-year-old Sharon M. Mulhatten, of Lancaster, was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where she later died.

Her passenger, 51-year-old Troy Mulhatten, of Ronks, remains at Lancaster General Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the other vehicle was treated for non life-threatening injuries and released.

The accident remains under investigation.
