St. Patrick’s Day celebration in York

Irish eyes were smiling and dancing in York on Saturday.
The 31st Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade marched along Market Street.
More than 70 different groups were featured in the line of march, including local high school bands, businesses and fire companies.
Hundreds of people packed onto the sidewalk to catch a glimpse.
Parade Committee member Mary Yeaple says, “It is packed, we could barely get through some of the blocks. It’s a great day to be downtown and it’s so encouraging to see after such a long, hard winter, it’s so great to see people out and warm sunny skies.”
Next year’s parade is already in the works. Mark your calendars, it will be held Saturday, March 14th, 2015.
