Dye pack explodes in bank robbery

A manhunt for a bank robbery suspect covered with pink dye in Cumberland County.  It happened at about 11:45 am at the M&T Bank in the 600 block of Holly Pike in South Middletown Township.

The suspect, a white male, walked into the bank wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He approached a teller with his hood over his head and a black mesh, ninja style mask covering his face. He demanded all the teller’s money.s

After getting some cash he left the bank and was last seen headed towards Route 34.  When he reached the roadway, a pink dye pack was activated.

Anyone who comes in contact with a man with any pink/red staining on his person, clothing, bag or any money is asked to contact State Police/Carlisle Barracks at (717) 249-2121.
