Lancaster Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of a shop lifting suspect.  The incident happened last month on February 21.  Lancaster City Police responded to a call at about 5:24 pm at Kohl’s at Park City Center. Loss Prevention employees told officers that they had attempted to stop the suspect as he was leaving the store without paying for merchandise.

The man placed his hand inside his jacket and told a Loss Prevention employee that if he touched him he would pull out a weapon. He then walked out of the store and across the parking lot with Loss Prevention employees following at a distance.  The suspect told the employees to stay away, that it was not worth their lives. The man got into the passenger side of a vehicle which then drove away.  Police later identified and interviewed the driver.  The suspect remains at large and unidentified.

Investigators released surveillance photos of the suspect. He is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and his possible nickname is Lucky. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Lancaster City Police Sergeant Phil Berkheiser at (717) 735-3300 ext 3231 or Lancaster City/County Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-1913.
