Steelton dad charged after toddler wanders away from home and into Family Dollar Store

A Steelton man is facing charges after his child wandered away from home Friday morning and walked into a store in Steelton, police said.

Officers were called to the Family Dollar Store along the 800 block of South Front Street for a report of a lost child. Investigators discovered the child, believed to be 3-years-old,  walked away from his home along the 900 block of Wood Street and wandered into the store on his own.

The child’s father, Marzouk A. Elnakib, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
