OVERVIEW: Front sweeps across the area after midnight ending our rain chances. Drier weather will move in for tomorrow and Friday along with milder more seasonal temperatures. The next system arrives early Saturday bringing a small shot at a few showers early in the day. The cooler air won’t arrive until Sunday so highs for the start of the weekend will warm nicely into the upper 50s. Much cooler by Sunday with temperatures remain in the low to mid 40s.
THIS EVENING: Spotty drizzle and showers will continue until the front swings through late tonight. Temps will hold steady in the low 40s and upper 30s.
TOMORROW: Spring arrives officially at 12:57pm and sunshine breaks out mixing with a few clouds from time to time. A beautiful day expected after a dreary one today. Temperatures will respond warming into the upper 40s to low 50s. Winds will be quite breezy out of the west 10-20mph.
We continue with the sunshine Friday. A few clouds may move in along a warm front late in the but temperatures will warm once again to the low 50s.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Another cold front comes in Saturday but with little moisture. A few showers possible early, then partial clearing with more sunshine heading into the afternoon. Still mild with 50s to start the weekend but colder air returns Sunday. Highs will only reach the low to mid 40s along with breezy conditions for the second half of the weekend.
NOT DONE WITH THE CHILL: Temperatures turn colder next week as an upper level trough digs in across the eastern third of the country. Light snow showers will also be possible Tuesday into Wednesday as an area of low pressure rides up the coast. At this point, it will bring nothing more than light snow showers as it is too far off the coast to impact us more significantly. We’ll certainly keep an eye on the trends and any changes.
