An attempt to elude police is short lived for a parole violator in York County. Southern Regional Police received a tip last Sunday that wanted felon, Zachary Dean Thomas, 22, was at a home in the 300 block of High Street in Stewartstown Borough.
Thomas fled the home just before police arrived. Southern Regional Police assisted by State Police fanned out to search the area. Thomas was found at about 2 pm hiding inside the bathroom of a home on Woods Road in East Hopewell Township. He was taken into custody without incident.
In addition to the parole violation, Thomas was also charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
